Reply Ready Growth · For web, design and marketing agencies

Find the businesses that need a better website, not just any business with one.

You describe the work you do and the kinds of business you want as clients. Growth reads their public pages, shows why each one could be a fit, names the role that usually decides, and drafts a first message that refers to something real.

This page is about you finding your customers. The businesses, people and messages shown are invented for illustration. No customer has endorsed Growth and nothing here is a live result.

1 · Target businesses

Who an agency might look for

These are examples of the kinds of business an agency could describe in a targeting profile. They are not a list of companies, and Growth does not assume any of them wants your work. It reports what their public pages say.

Multi-site professional firms

Accountancies, solicitors and surveyors with several offices and a site that grew by accretion.

Look for: separate office pages, mixed page styles, enquiry routes that differ by site.

Clinics and care providers

Dental, physiotherapy, vet and private care groups where booking and information are on the website.

Look for: booking by phone only, forms that are PDFs, services listed without prices or next steps.

Trade suppliers going online

Distributors and manufacturers with a strong local trade base and a catalogue that is only partly online.

Look for: price lists as downloads, a quote form with no confirmation, a separate shop link.

Growing owner-led firms

Businesses that announce a new site, a new service or a new hire on their own pages.

Look for: news or careers pages that name a marketing or digital role, or an expansion.

2 · Buying roles

The right person depends on what you sell

Growth names a role only when a public page states it, and saves the source. Here is how an agency might think about it for three common offers.

If you sellA new website or redesign

  • Managing Director or Founder (smaller firms)
  • Head of Marketing
  • Head of Digital

In firms under about 30 people the owner usually signs off the website.

If you sellSearch and content retainers

  • Marketing Manager
  • Marketing Director
  • Head of Growth

Look for a named marketing lead on the team page or in a job advert.

If you sellOnline shop or booking build

  • Ecommerce Manager
  • Operations Director
  • Practice or Site Manager

The person who owns orders or bookings is often not the person who owns the brand.

A role is shown as Confirmed only when a public page states it. Otherwise it is a Hypothesis or Unknown. Growth never guesses an email address.

What an agency would see.

Select a prospect to see why it fits, the role, how ready the contact is and the draft or next action. This is a public sample screen with made-up records. It is not the working client workspace and it is not connected to any data.

3 · Evidence for fit

Evidence an agency can check before writing

What Growth looks for

  • Page facts that point to a gap: a PDF where a form belongs, no route to enquire, offices described in different styles
  • Signals of change that the company itself published: a new site opened, a new service, a marketing role advertised
  • The role that owns the website, from a team, contact or careers page
  • Where they say they operate, so you reach firms in your area

What it will not claim

  • That a company wants a new website: that is a hypothesis you test in conversation
  • How their current site performs: Growth does not measure traffic or rankings
  • A named contact's email address: you add one you know to be right

Every reason carries a basis: Confirmed from a saved page, Hypothesis which is reasoning, or Unknown which is simply not found.

4 · Outreach preparation

A first message built from one real thing on their site

The draft below is an example, written from the sample record for Calder Valley Surveyors. Growth drafts from the saved research; you edit it, approve it, or skip it.

Example draftTo: Managing Partner, Calder Valley Surveyors
Hello, I noticed Calder Valley has four offices that each take instructions in a slightly different way. We help multi-office surveyors give clients one clear route to ask for a valuation. Would a short call be useful?

What the draft is built from

  • Their own words: four offices, each takes instructions differently
  • One benefit tied to that fact, not a list of services
  • One small ask: a short call

What you control

  • You edit, approve or skip every draft
  • You send it yourself, from your own email
  • Nothing is sent in bulk and nothing is sent without your approval

5 · Replies, follow-ups and pipeline

Replies, follow-ups and what to do next

When a prospect answers, you record it. Growth turns the reply into a next action so the opportunity does not go quiet.

  1. Message sentYou send the approved draft from your own email.
  2. Reply recorded“Not now, ask again in January.” You paste or note it.
  3. Follow-up setA reminder for the date they gave, with the earlier evidence beside it.
  4. Moved onQualified after a call, or closed with a reason you can look back on.

The four stages in the workspace are Researched Contacted Replied Qualified. Examples above are illustrative. No reply rates or results are claimed.
